超越文本的合作—小說作者與讀者關(guān)系的語用文體學(xué)研究

【摘要】:語用文體學(xué)是指采用語用學(xué)的理論模式或從語用學(xué)的視角研究文學(xué)文本。與傳統(tǒng)的文體學(xué)研究相比,語用文體學(xué)具有很多優(yōu)勢(shì):1)超越了單詞、句法的層面,轉(zhuǎn)而關(guān)注文學(xué)語篇,2)考慮語境因素,3)更有效地分析戲劇和小說文本,不再拘泥于詩(shī)歌,4)主張研究文學(xué)中的交流,5)結(jié)合多種理論模式進(jìn)行研究。 然而,此前的語用文體學(xué)研究仍然有不足之處。首先,大多研究只關(guān)注文本內(nèi)人物之間的交流,而未深入討論作者與讀者之間的交流。其次,大多研究集中在戲劇文本上,小說的研究相對(duì)不足。 有鑒于此,本研究旨在探討小說作者與讀者的交流。在作者意圖和讀者反應(yīng)上,本研究采用建構(gòu)的方法,即通過文本細(xì)讀,從字里行間建構(gòu)出作者意圖和讀者反應(yīng)。另外,本研究采用文體分析和直觀判斷的方法,從而兼?zhèn)淞丝陀^分析和主觀判斷兩方面的優(yōu)勢(shì)。 以格賴斯的會(huì)話含義及合作原則為理論框架,并結(jié)合修辭敘事學(xué)的理論成果,本文分析了小說作者與讀者交流的方式與效果。作者可以通過各種文體和敘事技巧來與讀者交流,而讀者也積極回應(yīng)。二者的交流在認(rèn)知、感情、美學(xué)和倫理等方面都具有重要意義。 本文提出了一個(gè)不同于日常會(huì)話質(zhì)量準(zhǔn)則的文學(xué)交流質(zhì)量準(zhǔn)則。此外,本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),會(huì)話含義在用來分析文學(xué)交流時(shí),會(huì)產(chǎn)生許多獨(dú)特的特征。例如,日常會(huì)話中質(zhì)量準(zhǔn)則的地位高于其他三個(gè)準(zhǔn)則,而文學(xué)交流中并非如此,方式準(zhǔn)則的作用得以凸顯。 本文在兩方面進(jìn)行了跨學(xué)科研究,一方面結(jié)合了文體學(xué)和語用學(xué)的理論,另一方面結(jié)合了語用文體學(xué)和修辭敘事學(xué)的分析。這利于促進(jìn)文體學(xué)的研究,擴(kuò)大其研究范圍,開創(chuàng)新的研究模式。本研究開創(chuàng)的語用文體學(xué)和修辭敘事學(xué)的結(jié)合,堪稱是繼文體學(xué)和修辭學(xué)結(jié)合之后又一突破。此外,本研究打破了語言學(xué)和文學(xué)研究的界線,亦可資今后研究借鑒。
[Abstract]:Pragmatic stylistics refers to the study of literary texts from the perspective of pragmatics either by adopting the theoretical model of pragmatics or by studying literary texts from the perspective of pragmatics. Compared with traditional stylistic studies, pragmatic stylistics has many advantages: 1) transcending the lexical and syntactic levels and focusing on literary discourse, 2) considering contextual factors, and 3) analyzing drama and novel texts more effectively; No longer confined to poetry, 4) advocated the study of communication in literature, 5) combined with a variety of theoretical models to study. However, previous studies of pragmatic stylistics still have some shortcomings. Firstly, most of the studies focus on the communication between the characters in the text, but not on the communication between the author and the reader. Secondly, most of the studies focus on the drama text, and the study of novels is relatively insufficient. In view of this, the purpose of this study is to explore the communication between the author and the reader. In terms of author's intention and reader's reaction, the author's intention and the reader's response are constructed by the method of construction, that is, the author's intention and the reader's response are constructed from the lines of the text through the careful reading of the text. In addition, this study adopts stylistic analysis and intuitive judgment, thus taking advantage of both objective analysis and subjective judgment. Based on Grice's conversational implicature and cooperative principle and the theoretical achievements of rhetoric narratology, this paper analyzes the ways and effects of the communication between the author and the reader. The author can communicate with the reader through various styles and narrative techniques, and the reader responds positively. Their communication is of great significance in cognitive, emotional, aesthetic and ethical aspects. This paper presents a quality criterion of literary communication which is different from the quality criterion of daily conversation. In addition, the present study finds that conversational implicature has many unique features when it is used to analyze literary communication. For example, the quality criterion is superior to the other three in daily conversation, but not in literary communication. On the one hand, it combines the theory of stylistics and pragmatics, on the other hand, it combines the analysis of pragmatic stylistics and rhetoric narratology. This will help to promote stylistic research, expand the scope of its research, and create a new research model. The combination of pragmatic stylistics and rhetoric narratology initiated in this study is another breakthrough after the combination of stylistics and rhetoric. In addition, this study breaks the boundary between linguistic and literary studies and can be used for further study.
