零(形)回指(zero anaphora)作為一種照應(yīng)形式,是指上文出現(xiàn)的某個(gè)對(duì)象在下文通過無音無形卻有義的方式得以體現(xiàn)的銜接手段。零形回指在英語中較為罕見,卻是漢語中一種重要的回指形式,一直受到學(xué)術(shù)界的關(guān)注。許多學(xué)者對(duì)零形回指在文學(xué)作品如小說、民間故事、格律詩等中的研究較多,但對(duì)政治文獻(xiàn)中此類現(xiàn)象的涉及較少。本文以2010年《政府工作報(bào)告》中文及其英譯本為語料,從先行語和零形回指詞之間的距離,充當(dāng)先行語的成分,以及先行語在句中的位置等三方面對(duì)零形回指進(jìn)行描述,嘗試歸納其分布特征、分布規(guī)律及相應(yīng)的翻譯方法。 通過分析發(fā)現(xiàn)《政府工作報(bào)告》中零形回指的四個(gè)分布特點(diǎn):第一、零形回指大部分出現(xiàn)在句內(nèi);第二、大部分零形回指的形式較單一,只有一個(gè)先行語和一個(gè)零形回指詞;第三、先行語的形式多樣,但偏正短語為先行語的情況最多;第四、先行語和零形回指詞通常出現(xiàn)在主語的位置上。人類短時(shí)記憶對(duì)信息容納度的限制,《政府工作報(bào)告》這種公文文體嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)奶攸c(diǎn)和必須全面、清晰地表達(dá)內(nèi)容的要求,以及漢語作為主題顯著語言所特有的同話題推進(jìn)的方式都是造成上述零形回指分布的原因。 譯者在零形回指的英文翻譯過程中常采用...
