艾米莉·狄金森(1830-1886)是歷史上最為偉大和獨(dú)特的詩(shī)人之一。盡管她終生隱居,但卻對(duì)世界有著非常獨(dú)特和深入的理解。她的詩(shī)歌主要以愛情、宗教、自然和死亡為主題。在出版的1775首詩(shī)歌中,其中以自然為主題的詩(shī)歌就有500多首。在狄金森時(shí)期,美國(guó)流行著兩大思潮——清教主義和超驗(yàn)主義。狄金森深受這兩大思想的影響。她的自然主題詩(shī)歌所承載的自然觀往往既有清教主義的痕跡又有超驗(yàn)主義的特點(diǎn)。由于這兩種思想對(duì)于自然的觀點(diǎn)截然相反,因此,狄金森的自然主題詩(shī)歌有時(shí)充滿著對(duì)自然的熱愛,有時(shí)卻又帶有恐怖的情緒。而國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者對(duì)艾米莉·狄金森的詩(shī)歌從語(yǔ)言學(xué)角度的分析尚待進(jìn)一步發(fā)展。因此,本文擬從評(píng)價(jià)理論的角度分析艾米莉·狄金森矛盾的自然觀。 評(píng)價(jià)理論是對(duì)韓禮德的人際元功能的繼承和發(fā)展。該理論聚焦于語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)義層面而非社會(huì)語(yǔ)境或詞匯語(yǔ)法層面,是語(yǔ)篇分析的有利工具,尤其對(duì)狄金森詩(shī)歌不符傳統(tǒng)語(yǔ)法規(guī)則的特點(diǎn)尤為適用。評(píng)價(jià)理論擁有三大子系統(tǒng)——態(tài)度系統(tǒng)、介入系統(tǒng)和級(jí)差系統(tǒng)。這三大子系統(tǒng)構(gòu)成了一套語(yǔ)篇分析的完整體系。因此,本文擬通過(guò)應(yīng)用評(píng)價(jià)理論來(lái)分析艾米莉·狄金森自然主題的詩(shī)歌,并最終得出結(jié)論：艾米莉·狄金森的自然觀...
