《法國中尉的女人》的狂歡化特點研究

英國小說家約翰福爾斯的杰作《法國中尉的女人》一出版即受到了國內外評論界的高度關注。福爾斯如同置身于中古時期的狂歡廣場,有意識地顛覆小說創(chuàng)作中的各種清規(guī)戒律,把小說的藝術形式推向了極致。雖然評論家們紛紛從作品的主題思想、敘事方法、寫作技巧等角度對這部作品進行了深入的研究,但鮮有人把此小說與巴赫金的狂歡化詩學建立聯(lián)系。筆者嘗試運用巴赫金的狂歡化詩學理論來分析《法國中尉的女人》中所體現(xiàn)的狂歡化特點,希望能夠拓寬和加深我們對這部杰作的理解。 本文分別從狂歡化的復調結構,狂歡化的藝術思維和狂歡化的體裁三個方面深入分析了《法國中尉的女人》所具有的狂歡化特點,如平等對話的精神,諷刺性模擬,狂歡化的小丑、瘋子等人物形象。福爾斯通過自己獨特的敘事方式和藝術思維將小說成功帶入狂歡領域。他對小說家傳統(tǒng)地位的挑戰(zhàn)引發(fā)了小說家對藝術創(chuàng)新的可能性的積極思考,間接地再現(xiàn)了后現(xiàn)代小說對傳統(tǒng)藝術進行全面顛覆的反叛精神。然而,《法國中尉的女人》的狂歡并不是對傳統(tǒng)小說要素的完全否定,而是在保留傳統(tǒng)的同時通過顛覆性的藝術形式與之展開對話。 在充分肯定小說中滲透的狂歡化特征的同時,本文進一步指出,《法國中尉的女人...
